As part of the marketing team and reporting to the Digital Marketing Director, this person manages day-to-day website updates and keeps content accurate, engaging, and up to date.

The ideal candidate enjoys both the detail of website maintenance and the creative work of presenting a destination to visitors. They can manage projects independently and turn information from local partners into clear, engaging web content.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and update pages with copy, photography, video, maps, and other digital assets.
  • Help improve website navigation and the visitor experience.
  • Regularly check website content for accuracy, accessibility, brand consistency, broken links, formatting issues, and outdated information.
  • Work with the Digital Marketing Director and external SEO specialists to implement SEO recommendations and improve website content and performance.
  • Use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to track website visits, popular pages, and other key metrics, and share monthly highlights with the Executive Director and Digital Marketing Director.
  • Research local events, create and publish event listings, and review submissions to keep the online events calendar current.
  • Maintain tourism partner information in our customer relationship management (CRM) system and work with local businesses to keep their website listings accurate.
  • Create and maintain interactive maps and online forms for the website, and generate QR codes for marketing campaigns.
  • Organize and prepare images, videos, and other website assets using the CMS media library and digital asset management system.
  • Assist with website enhancements, new features, redesigns, and testing in collaboration with staff, developers, and vendors.
  • Help review content for the annual Visitors Guide.
  • Support the Welcome Center by assisting visitors, answering tourism questions, and preparing or distributing visitor materials as needed.
  • Occasionally assist with content production, social media, local events, and other projects that support the Visitors Bureau’s mission.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 2–4 years of professional experience updating and managing website content.
  • Experience creating and publishing content in a content management system (CMS).
  • Strong writing, editing, proofreading, and organizational skills.
  • Working knowledge of on-page SEO, website accessibility, and Google Analytics 4 (GA4).
  • Ability to use website performance data to identify and recommend improvements.
  • Experience maintaining information in a CRM or similar database.
  • Experience preparing images and other digital assets for web use.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects, meet deadlines, adapt to changing needs, and work both independently and with a team.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with colleagues, vendors, and local tourism partners.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for work-related activities.
